Nutrition, gently evidence based

Nutrition support for perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. I believe nutrition should feel empowering, not overwhelming. Together, we will create realistic, sustainable strategies that fit your goals, your lifestyle, and your values.

My story

This wild journey

Jamila at 39, smiling, in a black lace dress

My passion for women's health began with my own experience navigating early menopause. Experiencing my first hot flash at 39, I found myself searching for answers and wanting evidence based strategies to help me feel my best during a stage of life that can be dismissed and overlooked.

I learned first-hand the impact that nutrition and lifestyle habits can play. This experience inspired me to deepen my expertise and dedicate my practice to supporting women through perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

In 2024, I became only the second dietitian in Canada to earn the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner designation. This allows me to bring specialized knowledge and up to date evidence based care to my clients.

How I can help

All sessions are virtual, so you can book from anywhere in British Columbia, Alberta, or Ontario. My approach is evidence based, but also empathetic. It's all connected: nutrition, sleep, stress, the nervous system, not just what's on your plate.

1:1

Your first session

The goal is simple: you leave feeling seen and heard. Many of the women I see are confused, overwhelmed and feel dismissed. We start by listening, not judging.

Before we meet

A short intake first

I ask for a 5 day food record, a detailed health history, and any recent lab work, so our first conversation starts from where you actually are.

Ongoing

A plan built for you

No one-size meal plans. After each session I put together resources and next steps that are actually yours, built around your goals and your life.

Who I work with

If you're already in it

Perimenopause & menopause

Perimenopause and menopause bring real, physical changes, and they deserve real answers, not dismissal. Whatever stage you're in, we work from where you are.

If you're getting ready

Training for menopause

Some of the women I work with are years away from menopause and want to understand what's coming before it arrives, not after. It's never too early to start paying attention.

"I know the info, but I can also relate on a personal level."

Evidence based, but also empathetic. My goal is that you leave every session feeling seen and validated.
